CRAIG BRIGHAM

Owner, The Detailing Detectives | Former IDA President | Midlands, UK

INTRODUCTION

Craig Brigham runs The Detailing Detectives, a mobile detailing business in the Midlands of the UK, and is a former President of the International Detailing Association. He rose through the IDA from UK Chapter President to Global Board Member to President. He grew up in a family of funeral directors, which taught him that vehicles should always be spotless and respected, and he spent over 8 years in healthcare IT before moving into detailing nearly 10 years ago.

Craig says nearly 80% of his customers have stayed with him for more than 5 years. In the episode he explains why he prefers pay-per-visit over monthly subscriptions, why he has never wanted a shop, how he applies coatings outdoors, and the emotional side of detailing, including clients for whom his visit was their one regular social contact during lockdowns. He also talks about leadership and handling criticism in IDA roles.
