INTRODUCTION
Damon Gray is the founder of Owner's Pride Coatings and Owner's Pride Omaha. He started hands-on in the back of his detailing shop, then launched Owner's Pride Coatings with his son in February 2020, just before the pandemic. The Omaha shop, a 5,000 sq ft facility he now leads remotely from South Carolina, doubles as the brand's testing ground and averages 250 appointments a month, including 40 to 50 ceramic coatings.
Damon builds products with chemists around what installers need, R&D first and marketing second. In his first episode he explains how several of his best employees started as customers and how he builds a trust-based culture. In his second, with Paulo Assunção, he introduces Eco Dry, the OPD and HD MAX heavy-duty coatings, and the OP Advantage program.
