INTRODUCTION

Megan Poirier was President of the International Detailing Association (IDA) at the time of her episode and leads major innovation at Car Candy. She started as a wedding and event photographer, then joined AutoGeek in its early days, building the website and forum and packing orders. After more than two decades in the industry, she moved to Car Candy, a fast-growing brand.

At Car Candy, Megan has been part of a new building, new fill lines and systems, Florida distribution routes, an Orlando warehouse, and the launch of Sweet Elite, a consumer retail line. In the episode she explains how the IDA pays for itself when used correctly (insurance, payroll taxes, OSHA, SOPs), the IDA mentorship program, preparing for slow seasons, and why the detailers who win are the ones who work together.
